Kia Sedona: CVVT Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) Repair procedures
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.
Remove the OTS. (Refer to "Removal")
3.
After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into engine coolant, measure resistance between the OTS terminals 1 and 2.
4.
Check that the resistance is within the specification.

1.
Connect the GDS to DLC.
2.
Turn the ignition ON or idle.
3.
Check the OTS temperatuere in the GDS service data.
4.
Check that the resistance is within the specification.

1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
2.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
3.
Disconnect the connector (A), and then remove the CVVT oil temperature sensor (B).
•
Install the component to the specified torques.
•
Note that internal damage may occur when the component is
dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect before installing.
•
Apply the sealant (LOCTITE FED546 or equivalent) to the sensor.
•
Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not to damage sensor when installing.
1.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
