Kia Sedona: CVVT Oil Temperature Sensor (OTS) Repair procedures
1. |
Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
2. |
Remove the OTS. (Refer to "Removal") |
3. |
After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into engine coolant, measure resistance between the OTS terminals 1 and 2. |
4. |
Check that the resistance is within the specification.

Connect the GDS to DLC. |
2. |
Turn the ignition ON or idle. |
3. |
Check the OTS temperatuere in the GDS service data. |
4. |
Check that the resistance is within the specification.

1. |
Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable. |
2. |
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner") |
3. |
Disconnect the connector (A), and then remove the CVVT oil temperature sensor (B).

Install the component to the specified torques. |
•
|
Note that internal damage may occur when the component is
dropped. If the component has been dropped, inspect before installing. |
•
|
Apply the sealant (LOCTITE FED546 or equivalent) to the sensor. |
•
|
Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not to damage sensor when installing. |

Install in the reverse order of removal.

34.3 ~ 41.1 N.m (3.5 ~ 4.5 kgf.m, 25.3 ~ 32.5 lb-ft)
