Removal
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the luggage side trim [LH].
(Refer to Body - "Luggage Side Trim")
3.
Disconnect the power sliding door control module connector (A).
4.
Remove the power sliding door control module (B) after loosening the screws.

Installation
1.
Install the power sliding door control module.
2.
Connect the power sliding door control module connector.
3.
Install the luggage side trim [LH].
4.
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
   
•
After replacing the power sliding door drive unit, the "power sliding door reset" procedure must be performed.
•
Check for normal operation whenever a power sliding door component is removed or replaced. If a chime sound is heard, check the DTC, wiring harness and cable connections.
Adjustment
Initializing Power Sliding Door
–
Power Sliding Door Initialization must be done when the power supply has been disconnected, parts of it is detached or replaced, or adjustment work is done.
–
Initialization makes Power Sliding Door to operate properly and safely, and also lets Power Sliding Door control module (PSDM) to learn the total operation distance and range of operating force in case of opening and closing.
–
After installing the Sliding Door, disconnect the main power supply before the initialization, check manually that the door slides in proper way without a problem, and if so, connect the power supply again and perform the initialization.
Initialization Process
1)
Close the sliding doors completely. (Latch is fully locked)
2)
Perform automatic opening by operating one of the Power Sliding Door switches.
3)
Perform automatic closing by operating one of the Power Sliding Door switches. Check that the door is closed in full latch.
4)
The initialization should be operated in one cycle consisting of two full openings and one full closing. Before and after the check up, full opening and closing must be repeated.
   
When the Power Sliding Door does not complete the full power cycle, please check the Power Sliding Door system.
Power Sliding Door Resetting

In some cases, the Power Sliding Door has to be reset.
1.
Disconnect the memory fuse related to power supply of PSDM.
2.
Wait for one minute. Reconnect the memory fuse. Initialize the Power Sliding Door.
Other Resetting Method
1.
Disconnect the PSDM connector installed on driving part.
2.
Wait for one minute. Reconnect the connector to PSDM. Initialize the Power Sliding Door.
