Function Of Safety Power Window
When driver door power window auto-up switch is operated, safety function is activated.
1.
Safety function condition
If a force of 100 N or over is detected (using a 10 N/mm
spring) while pulling up the window, the window automatically reverses
and pulls down.
2.
Reversing distance of window (not activated when holding the auto-up switch)
–
When a jamming object is detected between 4mm - 250mm from top of the door.
→ Window reverses and pulls down to 300mm from top of the door.
–
When a jamming object is detected over 250mm from top of the door.
→ Window reverses and pulls down to 20mm from jamming position.

Reversing distance of window (while holding the auto-up switch)
–
When a jamming object is detected while holding the auto-up switch.
→ Window reverses and pulls down to 25mm from jamming position.

Auto-up function is not available during the 5 seconds from the above condition
→ When holding the auto-up switch, window operates in the manual-up mode. (Safety function is not activated.)

When holding the auto-up switch after 5 seconds from the above condition.
→ Window reverses and pulls down to 25mm from jamming position.
4.
Safety function deactivated area
Safety function is not available in 4mm from top of the door.
Initializing Method Of The Safety Power Window
1.
Initializing Battery Connection
When battery power is removed for over 5 minutes, safety power window switch needs to be initialized.

Pre-initializing operation of power window

Manual-Up/Down function is available
–
Auto-Up function is not available
(When holding the auto-up/down switch, window operates in manual-up/down mode.)

Initializing method
When the window is open, close the window by holding the
switch until it is fully closed and keep it closed for at least 0.2
second.
(Initialization may fail if the procedure is started when the window is fully closed.)
(3)
If the initializing state of the safety power window is in jammed status, the following condition may occur:
